Introduction to Wine Appreciation

AUTUMN 2008 COURSE NOW FULL

AT THE LIVING ROOM, CASTLE COMPLEX, OXFORD

This is an introductory course in the art and science of wine (and also spirits). Participants need no prior knowledge of the subject. The course fee of £295 includes all tastings and also, as additional information, the book pack produced by the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) for their Intermediate Certificate course. Should you wish to do so at the end of the course, we can arrange for you to sit the WSET Intermediate Certificate examination (a Vocationally Related qualification accredited at level 2) at an additional cost of £60 (to cover exam and invigilator, WSET fee subject to change each August). The WSET issues certificates directly to those who pass the examination.

The course will be hosted by Dr Karen Hyde AIWS (Diploma in Wine & Spirits).

The Autumn 2008 course will be held at The Living Room, in the Castle complex, central Oxford on Wednesday evenings, starting on 17 September 2008 from 19:00hrs to 21:00hrs. The course lasts 8 weeks, with the optional exam in the following week (Monday 17 November at Brookes University).

On Wednesday 19 November the group will have the opportunity to enjoy a meal at The Living Room who have generously offered us a 20% discount. There is no parking at the Living Room but there are public car parks very close by. You are asked to arrive five minutes early to allow time to organise your tasting glasses and, for obvious reasons, smoking will not be permitted in the tasting room.
