The WSET Diploma with Winematters

Winematters will continue to offer the following advantages:

Our course currently runs from Wolfson College, a graduate college in North Oxford with ample free parking. By offering a combination of evening and all-day courses we both maximise the frequency of our tasting sessions and also reduce the requirement to take time off work. Our exams are also held at Wolfson College, what will be by then an intimate and familiar environment. The small group size allows for plenty of discussion and encourages a high degree of personal support.

We begin the WSET Diploma in September which gives four months’ study before attempting U2 and a full six months before the first tasting exam. Because of this early start our students then enjoy at least three months between each subsequent unit.

Winematters provides all the 5* recommended WSET Study material and our own supporting study material. Our mock exams for each Unit gives candidates a ‘real life’ opportunity to experience exam conditions before the real thing.

The vast majority of classroom time is devoted to tasting. During the course we taste almost 200 wines and spirits and for each we provide detailed feedback to candidates. The wines are selected by Michael Palij, Master of Wine, Director of Winematters and a Diploma lecturer in Ireland, Norway, Finland, and Belgium.
