Welcome to WineMatters

Directed by Michael Palij MW, one of only 277 Masters of Wine in the world, WineMatters has been running passionate and informative wine tuition courses since 1994. Over 500 enthusiastic individuals have already enjoyed learning more about wine with WineMatters in a friendly and informal environment.

We offer Introductory, Advanced and Diploma level wine appreciation courses, and Masterclasses on specific topics of interest to wine connoisseurs.

WSET Professional Certificate in SPIRITS

NEW COURSE STARTING SEPTEMBER 2009

Winematters are pleased to announce that they will offer the Wine and Spirit Education Trust Professional Certificate in Spirits commencing in September 2009.

The course will be run by Michael Palij MW (winner of the first WSET Delamain Scholarship for the highest mark on the inaugural exam). This course is excellent preparation for anyone attempting the WSET Diploma and will also appeal to those who would like to continue their study of the world’s alcoholic beverages with Winematters. As usual, this course has been designed to exceed the WSET specification and will include a number of rare spirits sourced from around the world during Michael’s travels.

WSET DIPLOMA with WineMatters in Oxford

• SEPTEMBER 2009: Diploma level course in Wines and Spirits - 2 year course. 

DIPLOMA BRIEFING EVENING: Monday 8 JUNE 2009 at The Florey Room, Wolfson College, starting at 19:30.

Michael will be on hand to answer any queries regarding the course. The evening is free and he will bring plenty of materials from both the WSET and Winematters.
